Philia Issari

Philia Issari, Ph.D is Professor of Counseling Psychology, founder and Director of the Centre for Qualitative Research at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Her research, teaching and counseling/therapeutic work focus on multicultural, social justice, narrative, constructionist, dialogic and collaborative ideas. She is co-author of the books “Qualitative Research Methods”, (Kallipos, Open Academic Editions, 2015), “Visual and Arts-based Qualitative Methods” (Kallipos, Open Academic Editions, 2022), and co-editor of the book “Qualitative Research in Counseling Psychology (Pedio, 2018). She currently serves on the EB-ACA Board of Governors, and as chair of the EB-ACA International Committee. She is a member of the TAOS Institute Associates Council, the Steering Committee of the European Network of Qualitative Inquiry, and the Advisory Council for Substance Abuse, Hellenic Ministry of Health.
